How does kalzyme dental spray work?

Breaking down dental plaque
Kalzyme's proprietary enzyme blend mimics toothbrushing by breaking the bonds in plaque through hydrolysis, instead of using mechanical force and abrasion. This disperses harmful bacteria attached to the plaque.

Reducing bacteria adhesion & healing gums
With daily use, the enzymes continuously break down plaque, while the other ingredients support gum healing. This forms a protective layer that helps prevent the buildup of plaque, tartar, and bacteria that cause dental disease.

Balancing the oral microbiome
Kalzyme is engineered to preserve beneficial bacteria and allow it to repopulate. This helps rebalance the oral microbiome for long-term dental health.
Our pets' mouths host many microorganisms, such as bacteria, that coexist harmoniously with their immune system. This community is known as the oral microbiome.
A balanced microbiome naturally defends against harmful bacteria by outcompeting them for resources.
An imbalance, caused by the overgrowth of harmful bacteria, can lead to infections and dental disease.

Dental plaque, a bacterial biofilm, begins forming within hours after our pets eat. This sticky, transparent layer is not just saliva — it harbours bacteria that multiply and overgrow.
Worse still, plaque shields harmful bacteria, making them up to 1,000 times more resistant to antibacterial agents.
As plaque builds up, it hardens into tartar (calculus) — a thick, yellowish layer often mistaken for plaque. Unlike plaque, tartar cannot be brushed away and requires professional cleaning by a vet. Both plaque and tartar create rough surfaces where harmful bacteria can easily attach and spread.
The first sign of trouble is bad breath, followed by gingivitis — an early-stage gum disease that causes painful inflammation. If left untreated, this can progress to periodontitis, where infection spreads deep beneath the gums, leading to tooth loss and severe discomfort.
Even more concerning, harmful bacteria can enter the bloodstream, affecting vital organs such as the heart, liver, and kidneys. Without intervention, what starts as plaque may develop into a serious health issue for our pets.

Kalzyme Dental Spray combines advanced enzyme technology with clinically backed results to offer a gentle and effective dental solution for pet owners around the world.

Simplify Dental Care For Your Cats
"I can’t say enough good things about Kalzyme's dental spray!
As a cat owner, I always worried about my cats' dental health, but relying solely on brushing teeth was a constant battle, especially when it took so much time to brush all the cats.
The spray is such a breeze to use and just take seconds to give me a sense of relief that I haven't skipped my dental duties.
A few cats had thick plaque and using the spray combined with brushing teeth made a huge difference in reducing the plaque!"

Gentle and Effective Formula For Your Dogs
"Sumo loving to brush his teeth now! When we used to use the toothbrush he'd struggle and made it very challenging to brush and keep his teeth clean.
Ever since we started using Kalzyme in March 2024, his back teeth transformed from yellow to white! In general his teeth and breath has improved significantly! We continue to use Kalzyme because not only it's effective, as you can see Sumo LOVES it!"

How does kalzyme dental spray work?

Breaking down the biofilm
Kalzyme’s proprietary enzyme blend breaks down the biofilm formed by bacteria and fungi through hydrolysis. This disperses the harmful bacteria and fungi protected within it.

Reducing bacteria adhesion & healing the skin
As the enzymes break down the biofilm, the formula also aids skin repair. This helps combat active infection and creates a protective barrier to prevent the overgrowth of harmful bacteria and fungi.

Balancing the skin microbiome
Unlike antibacterial or antifungal agents, Kalzyme is engineered to preserve beneficial microorganisms, allowing them to thrive. This helps rebalance the skin microbiome for long-term skin health.
Our pets’ skin is home to a diverse community of microorganisms that make up the skin microbiome. These microbes coexist harmoniously with their immune system.
When balanced, these microbes support skin health by naturally outcompeting harmful bacteria and fungi.
However, an imbalance, often caused by the overgrowth of harmful microbes, can lead to bacterial or fungal infections, compromising our pets’ skin health.

Bacterial or fungal infections, such as yeast or ringworm, can arise for various reasons. Identifying the underlying cause is key to effective management and treatment.
- Food & environmental allergies often trigger an immune response, leading to inflammation and itching. Repeated scratching can break the skin barrier, resulting in secondary infections.
- Underlying health issues may weaken the immune system, making our pets more susceptible to harmful bacterial and fungal overgrowth.
- Humid climates, such as those in Southeast Asia, promote bacterial & fungal overgrowth, increasing the risk of infection.
Bacteria and fungi on the skin produce biofilm — a sticky, transparent layer composed of starch and protein.
Biofilms shield bacteria and fungi, making them up to 1,000 times more resistant to antimicrobial agents. As harmful microbes overgrow, the immune system triggers an inflammatory response, leading to red, itchy patches.
Nibbling and scratching can create open wounds, allowing bacteria and fungi to enter the bloodstream and increasing the risk of complications.
